Saluting Branches, a non-profit organization that honors American service men and women by organizing volunteer tree and landscape care for the property dedicated to veterans, is proud to announce Renee Bissett as its new president.
With a distinguished career spanning over two decades in the utility industry, Bissett brings a wealth of expertise to Saluting Branches. Her impressive track record of strategic planning, brand development, and organizational development will help elevate the organization’s mission.
As Director of Marketing and Communications at ACRT Services, Bissett has orchestrated comprehensive marketing strategies for multiple brands, utilizing a diverse array of tools and platforms to drive engagement and generate substantial media coverage.
“Celebrating our tenth year, I’m honored to build on the incredible work of my predecessor,” said Bissett. “Joining this passionate team has been deeply rewarding as we unite around a mission that brings people together to honor our veterans.”
Bissett succeeds Brian Bruce of RDO Equipment Co., whose leadership was instrumental in propelling Saluting Branches to new heights. Under Bruce’s guidance, the organization successfully launched initiatives such as raffling off a one-year lease of a Vermeer AX17 brush chipper, which garnered widespread support and raised funds to support its mission. His vision and dedication have laid a strong foundation for the organization’s continued success.
Bissett holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Kent State University and has pursued ongoing education and accreditations to further refine her skills and expertise. In 2019, Bissett was the first woman in its history to receive the Utility Arborist Association (UAA) Educator Award, an honor that recognizes an individual who has added to the knowledge and practices of the utility arborist.
Saluting Branches relies on the generosity of supporters to continue honoring American service men and women through volunteer tree and landscape care for veteran properties. Donations help us carry out vital initiatives to preserve these spaces and pay tribute to our veterans.
