This May, we are proud to celebrate a special milestone, Renee Bissett’s 20th anniversary with ACRT Services. Over the past two decades, Renee has contributed immensely to our organization’s growth, culture, and community, becoming an inspiring example of dedication.
Renee joined ACRT Services — then known as ACRT — in 2005, stepping into what would become a pivotal role leading our marketing and communications efforts. For the first 10 years of her tenure, Renee single-handedly ran the marketing and communications “department,” building the foundation for what has become a vital part of our family of companies’ success and brand identity. Her efforts brought visibility to our services, strengthened our reputation, and set the tone for future growth.
In 2023, Renee was named director at ACRT Services, a role in which she continues to empower teams, foster collaboration, and align business strategies with long-term goals. Her leadership is marked by her approachable style, strategic vision, and ability to elevate those around her.
Renee’s impact reaches beyond ACRT Services. In 2019, she was honored with the Education Award by the Utility Arborist Association (UAA), recognizing industry professionals who educate and train others. Notably, she was the first woman ever to receive this award and only the second recipient from ACRT Services, following founder Richard Abbott in 2001 — a historic achievement.
Further expanding her leadership footprint, Renee was named President of Saluting Branches in 2024, a nonprofit dedicated to honoring American service men and women by organizing volunteer tree and landscape care for the property dedicated to our veterans. Her appointment reflects her influence across the broader utility and arboriculture industries, and her commitment to service.
Beyond her professional achievements, Renee has served as a mentor to many throughout her 20 years. She has guided, supported, and uplifted countless individuals across the organization, helping them grow both professionally and personally. Just as importantly, she has preserved the rich and colorful history of ACRT Services, keeping alive the funny, inspiring, and pivotal stories that have shaped who we are today.
As we honor Renee’s 20 years of service, we celebrate not only her many accomplishments but also the heart, humor, and wisdom she brings to our organization every day. With leaders like Renee guiding us, the future of ACRT Services is brighter than ever.
Thank you, Renee, for your vision, your dedication, and the incredible legacy you continue to build. Congratulations on 20 years!
